Medium & Technique: Maligro, Ziga & Quijano

There are words better left unsaid; Let tears dry on their own To heal the scars caused by love and fear To face what's unclear As murky as a pond of water Decorated with white lilies ** The world is cold, chaotic and unforgiving. However, it is solely up to us whether we allow ourselves to drown in its misery or choose to be happy. To attain happiness, we must grab it and ultimately, find our inner peace. The world is sad, dull and dreary, but that does not mean you should be, too. Photographer: Glenysse Gale Maligro Model: Eddy M'hrry Ziga Propsman: Stephen Quijano

Creation Story Contemporary Art Interpretation: Stephen Quijano

Art represents a lot of things. It maybe physical reality or the mind's eye. Doing things like this is something that has been so enjoyable about Contemporary Arts, it is by the means by which it's pushed me to take in a medium that, truly, scared me. Oil painting and other types of painting appeared to be so genuine, specialized, and with strict principles. It's for the genuine craftsmen, not the trying ones. But, Contemporary Arts helped me to through it. I have learned a lot of things, not just about the different styles, mediums and techniques that you can use, but also the moral aspects. I learned how to pay attention on things as I vowed to keep myself focused so I could get it done as quickly as possible. And I trust myself more for I knew I could do it all on my own. I learned how to be bold, edgy and willing to take all the chances of being happy. VLOG: Art Representation of the Creation Story

I've never really considered myself as an artist. I've only ever held up a paintbrush, or an oil pastel whenever a teacher gives a project that requires it. This is a perfect example. Consequently, this also means that I have never explored Art deeper. As a beginner, I've used a typical oslo paper as canvass and just used oil pastel and colored pencils. They're very fun and easy to use. If there is one thing I've learnt, it's how to mix colors. And how sometimes, it can be very frustrating since you have to be very careful not to accidentally disrupt the already-mixed colors. I was really having trouble on how to deliver what my interpretation was, but this leaves me quite satisfied.

For me, as an artist, I believe that the eyes are the windows of our soul. What more can represent existence of human beings than a face of one as a canvas. Their eyes should be emphasized with the elements they are believed to come from. The sun moon and the stars are three most notable representations of what human beings are made of. The lips are what reads out and speaks what the mind tells. And the earth is a big collection of conversations, the very reason it continues to progress every single day. The face with its features gives a strong contemporary base for an art. While face paint and make up as primary medium may seem limited, but it will always depend on the technique and the skill. To further understand the process, finish the video and know how thhe medium and technique relates to its significance. *Note: The original video really ends at 2:15. Please ignore the blank frames after that, since it might be caused by an error during the rendering. Thank you

Life from the Bamboo: An Installation Art by Zedec Pacaldo I used the available resources that I have. For me, the medium of your art does not matter as long as your technique was well executed. It also does not matter if you have abundant art resources or limited art resources. What matters is what you did with what you have. Art is a very vast field and you have so many techniques and mediums to choose from. That is why I am inspired to make my own technique and become significant. I decided to make an installation instead of painting because I think that I am better off making 3D Art than dealing with paint. I am not really good in dealing with paint. Most of the time it gets messy in the end. I am also comfortable with installation art because I already had an idea and all that's needed to be done is to perform or execute that idea. Vlog

Naked Lies Fruit of lies in a cup of broken trust A flower submerged in a pot of dust To cover the truth with lies that last And suppress reality as time flies so fast Interpretation: People prefer hearing comforting lies than knowing the bitter and dreadful truth. We are easily deceived by the traps and temptations of this world. We are blinded and unable to see the truth. As time passes by, just like beautiful flowers, they propagate and grow and cover the truth beneath it. Which is why we forget what is true.
