Installation Art: Documentation

Installation Art about the Current Issues in the Philippines
This was a tough activity. It required everyone's cooperation and support. We even had a hard time in deciding the main focus of the art. Only few of us gave ideas. Thank God Sir Quilantang helped us in deciding the main focus and the foundation of our installation art. We used some resources that we had in our homes especially the microphones and the unusable Television of Jerel. In the first meeting of the construction of the Installation art, only few came in the morning. Most of them were even late. What's good is that our group were present and helped a lot.
Christia led the whole class while Glenysse helped her in leading she's also one of the people who brought the rotten vegetables to school. Eddy brought many materials like nails, and painted the microphone stands. Zedec made and constructed most of the microphone dresses and brought spray paint. Charisse and Kisha painted the stage and assisted in putting the rotten vegetables on the TV. Stephen was one of the people who hanged the hanging microphones and also did most of the work in attaching the rotten vegetables. Every member did their best in helping. The whole group stayed till it was close to 6:30.
This is just one of the many struggles that we will be facing along the way. We have to be strong and to stick together. Always share ideas. Installation Art is a tough was of expressing art but a really fun and comprehensive way. We can add weird and abstract figures to fit the emotion. Use vivid colors to represent happiness or aggressiveness. Use unsaturated colors that represents calm or dullness. Installation art, for us, is the way to attract the audience and give them a different level of immersion and connection to the art. Where they can interact or get closer to feel the dimensions since Installation is not just a piece, but a piece with three dimensions and can be thoroughly examined.
It was also fun seeing the audience's reactions and interpretations of our art because most of their interpretations were correct according to how we portray the message.
